Laura visited Cape Town earlier in the year and has helped us plan our visit. So we have already booked two restaurants and a visit to Robben Island. Other musts include Table Mountain, and some nearby museums and shops. I think there's a botanic gardens somewhere too. I've got the DK Top Ten Guide, and Laura has lent us the Lonely Planet Guide.Our flight with Edelweiss leaves at 22.35 this evening and arrives 11 hours later at 11.00am on Friday 30 December. Hopefully the hotel shuttle bus will pick us up. We've also booked an event at the hotel on New Year's Eve.
The exchange rate from Swiss Francs to Rand is CHF1 to R14. We've got some miscellaneous currency. Restaurants often seem to require pre-payment for bookings. We'll see how it goes once we are there.
